Carla has experience working in Child Welfare, and with teen parents while running the Destination Graduation program at the YWCA. Carla has worked with bullying and drug and alcohol prevention with teens as well. Carla loves working with anxiety and depression, as well as a variety of other women's issues. She enjoys working with children and families in a variety of circumstances. She has experience working with teens who struggle with self-harm. Carla also has a passion for couple's work, including pre-marital counseling and marriage counseling. She works with infidelity issues with couple's, as well as the individuals who were involved.
Carla has a passion for meeting clients where they are in their life situations and counts it a privilege to journey with others. Carla looks at each individual uniquely and is able to alter her approach based on the needs of the situation.
Carla has been married for 21 years and has four children. She has learned that parenting and marriage are hard work, but worth the exhaustion. She understands that each child is different, and no one approach will work for everyone. She enjoys spending time with family and friends outdoors. She loves the woods and campfires. Carla loves coffee and has recently taken to gardening, and is hoping to grow this hobby. To relax, Carla enjoys sitting by the fire, watching a good movie, and the occasional nap.
