Heather graduated from Millersville University in 2019 with her Bachelors of Arts in Social Work. She continued her education and graduated with her Master’s degree in social workand obtained her license in 2020. Since then, Heather has worked in a variety of positions and settings including in home family therapy, school based therapy, and outpatient settings supporting both children and adults of all ages.
Heather utilizes a person centered approach and strength based perspective when working with her clients. She draws techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Informed Care. She is particularly interested in working with individuals who may be experiencing challenges with self esteem, relational issues, anxiety, life changes / transitions, depression, and behavioral modifications. Heather is passionate about creating an open and welcoming therapeutic environment that invites her clients to be their most authentic selves.
Outside of work Heather enjoys traveling, being outside, spending time with her family and friends, and cuddling up with her cats while watching her favorite reality tv shows.
